7 Inch LED Headlights – ADR Approved and Road Legal Options
Our range of 7 inch LED headlights includes ADR approved asymmetrical beam models (RHD – Australian road legal) and ADR compliant symmetrical beam patterns for custom and universal applications. These 7" round sealed-beam replacements are designed for cars, 4x4 vehicles, trucks and motorcycles that use standard 7" headlight housings.
Direct Replacement for 7" Sealed Beam Headlights
Most vehicles that use a traditional 7" halogen sealed beam (H6024 and cross references) can upgrade directly to LED. Our plug-and-play 7 inch LED headlights connect via H4 (high/low) with optional adapters for specific applications. Popular fitments include:
- Toyota LandCruiser
- Nissan Patrol
- Jeep Wrangler
- Harley Davidson Motorcycles
- Kenworth & Classic Trucks
Asymmetrical vs Symmetrical Beam Patterns
ADR Approved (Asymmetrical) headlights feature a proper RHD cut-off pattern designed for Australian roads. These provide controlled low beam projection without dazzling oncoming traffic.
ADR Compliant (Symmetrical) beam patterns provide even left/right light spread and are commonly used in universal applications.
Halo, DRL & Indicator Variants Available
Choose from classic no-halo designs, full halo rings, DRL/position light combinations, indicator-integrated models and black or chrome housings. Available as single units for motorcycles or pairs for vehicles with dual 7" headlight setups.
Why Upgrade to 7 Inch LED Headlights?
- Improved night visibility and beam control
- Long service life compared to halogen
- Modern white light output (6000K typical)
- Low current draw
- Durable sealed construction for harsh conditions
H4 Polarity Converter for Earth Switched Vehicles
Some older vehicles use an earth switched headlight circuit, which can cause LED headlights to operate incorrectly. To ensure compatibility, we also supply an H4 polarity converter designed for older Toyota Hilux and Toyota LandCruiser models. This inline adapter allows modern 7 inch LED headlights to function correctly without modifying the vehicle wiring.

7" Sealed-Beam Cross References, Fitment Notes & Wiring Help
Many vehicles reference a 7" headlight by sealed-beam codes rather than "7 inch". If you’re matching by part number, these cross references can help confirm fitment. Always confirm your bucket depth and connector type before ordering.
Common 7" sealed-beam codes
H6024, 6012, 6014, 7" round, 178mm
Plug & play (most installs)
Most models connect via H4 high/low. DRL / indicator variants include additional wires.
Earth-switched wiring
If high/low behaves backwards or won’t switch correctly, you may need an H4 polarity converter (common on some older Toyota systems).
ADR approved vs ADR compliant
ADR Approved uses a controlled RHD cut-off. ADR Compliant uses a symmetrical beam suited to sealed-beam style replacement.
7 Inch LED Headlights – Frequently Asked Questions
Are 7 inch LED headlights legal in Australia?
Yes. Our range includes ADR approved 7 inch LED headlights with asymmetrical (RHD) beam patterns that are road legal in Australia. We also supply ADR compliant symmetrical beam models for specific applications.
What is the difference between ADR approved and ADR compliant headlights?
ADR approved headlights use an asymmetrical beam pattern with a proper right-hand-drive cut-off for Australian roads. ADR compliant headlights use a symmetrical beam pattern, commonly used as a replacement for the old style sealed beams that have an old style beam pattern.
What vehicles use 7 inch LED headlights?
7 inch LED headlights are commonly fitted to vehicles using a standard 7" sealed-beam headlight, including classic cars, 4x4s, trucks and motorcycles. Popular applications include Toyota LandCruiser, Nissan Patrol, Jeep Wrangler, Harley Davidson motorcycles and Kenworth trucks.
Do 7 inch LED headlights plug straight in?
Most 7 inch LED headlights are plug-and-play using an H4 connector. Some older vehicles with an earth-switched headlight circuit may require an H4 polarity converter to ensure correct operation.
Can I buy a single 7 inch LED headlight or only a pair?
Yes. We supply both single units (commonly for motorcycles) and pairs for vehicles with dual 7 inch headlight setups.
Do your 7 inch LED headlights include halo or DRL options?
Yes. Our range includes no-halo designs, full halo, quarter halo, half halo, DRL/position light and indicator-integrated 7 inch LED headlights, available in black or chrome housings.
