We have six main ballasts, Budget, Standard, Professional Grade, Can-Bus, High Powered, and D1 Series.
The ballast is the heart of an HID Conversion Kit. The ballast is the most likely part of an HID Kit that will fail first so you need reliable ballasts.
Here you can get an overview of each separate ballast to best determine which conversion kit will be suitable for your application.

Budget Ballasts

Overview:

The Budget HID Ballasts we use in the budget HID Kits are derived from our HID Driving Lights. We remove these ballasts when we upgrade the the driving lights to a higher output ballast for our clients. If you buy a budget kit you will need to use the waterproof connectors supplied in the kit for the power and earth input to the ballast, and may have to modify your own connectors. For all single filament bulbs such as H1, H3, H7 etc... Your existing headlight connector is simply power and earth. For H4 H/L bulbs the same principle applies, except that in your kit you will he get a relay which plugs into your existing H4 headlight connector. Ballasts are mounted using cable ties or brackets at the buyers personal preference.

Applications:
Widely used for less expensive solutions to gain a higher output for lights, particularly on Machinery that has existing halogen bulbs and require a less expensive solution to upgrade to HID.

Standard Ballasts

Overview:

The Standard HID Ballasts are a slim digital ballast. They are used in general motoring and are easy fit plug and play.

Applications:
Widely used for general motoring use, to gain a higher output for lights, particularly on cars that have existing halogen bulbs and require a less expensive solution to upgrade to HID.

Professional Grade Ballasts

Overview:

The Professional Grade HID Ballasts are the best HID Ballasts on the market today. They incorporate high grade USA made Digital Chips which deliver faster start rates, (particularly needed when switching between high and low beams), they also have other high quality components from companies such as Siemens, (a well known German Electronics company), Japanese companies, and others.
The Pro Grade ballasts low start rates and stable constant current draw, and are also much more efficient on bulbs which will ensure Long Life and superior performance.

Applications:
These are suitable for most vehicles such as Subaru, GHM, FORD, Toyota, Honda, some Mercedes and BMW, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Suzuki, Diahatsu, and other well known car companies.
The are also suitable for 24v application such as some truck systems, mining vehicles, and agricultural vehicles.

High Powered Ballasts

Overview:

The High Powered HID Ballasts are suitable for upgrading Hella Rallye 4000 and other Hella halogen driving lights, IPF driving lights or spot lights, Light Force driving lights, (adapters needed for lightforce), and other similar applications.
The High Powered Ballasts may not be suitable for some cheap lenses and are not suitable for low beam.
They incorporate high grade Digital Chips which deliver fast start rates, and are also much more efficient on bulbs which will ensure Long Life and superior performance.

Applications:
The 70w slim ballasts are suitable for high beam on general purpose vehicles and for upgrading halogen driving lights such as Hella, IPF, and Lightforce to HID.
The 75w and 100w are generally used for upgrading halogen driving lights and spot lights to HID. They work particularly well on Hella, IPF, and Lightforce lights. .

Can-Bus Ballasts

Overview:

The Can-Bus HID Ballasts are used in vehicles where the computer controls parts of the lighting system, such as late model Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Honda, & VW. Can-Bus means "controller area network" and gives a backfeed signal to the computer from the resistance of a filament in a halogen bulb. When fitting a HID which has no filaments, you will need to buy Can-Bus compatible ballasts.

Used in high end vehicles such as Mercedes, Audi, Honda, VW, and BMW..
